Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse
for our General Surgery department, committed to providing
excellent patient care and supporting our mission of uplifting
community health through innovative practices. As part of our team,
you will work in a faith-based organization where we prioritize
compassionate service, delivering personalized care in a supportive
and dynamic environment. Provide pre- and post-operative care to
patients undergoing surgical procedures. Monitor patient vital
signs, administer medications, and assist in surgeries as needed.
Educate patients and their families on surgical processes,
aftercare, and overall health maintenance. Maintain accurate
patient records and document all care provided. Collaborate with
surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to
ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in ongoing education
and training to stay abreast of the latest practices in general
surgery nursing. Strong clinical skills in a surgical environment
Ability to work effectively in high pressure, fast-paced situations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in
using healthcare software and electronic health records Critical
thinking and problem-solving abilities Medical Insurance Must be a
licensed Registered Nurse in the state of employment. BLS/ACLS
Certification is required. Certified Medical-Surgical Registered
Nurse (CMSRN) credential is preferred but not mandatory.
