Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse
(RN) to join our Med Surg Float team, a role pivotal in sustaining

Surg Float RN is essential in ensuring high standards of culturally
competent care for a diverse population of patients. Provide direct
nursing care in a diverse range of medical-surgical settings.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care needs for
patients. Float among various med surg units, adapting skills and
techniques to different clinical environments. Document patient
care and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory
standards. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and
healthcare team members. Participate in continuous education and
professional development opportunities. Assist in the mentoring and
training of new staff. Strong clinical skills in a medical-surgical
environment. Excellent adaptability to changing work units and
patient needs. Proficiency in using medical software and patient
care equipment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
