Med/Surg RN Job Details Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Start Date: November 17, 2025 End Date: February 16, 2026 Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts/week) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680-$1800 Openings: 3 Med/Surg RN positions available Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state) BLS Certification (required before first shift) ACLS Certification (required before first shift) Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg setting Strong communication and teamwork skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission Develop and implement individualized patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education from admission Communicate patient status changes to physicians and charge nurses for optimal continuity of care Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees as needed Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by following hospital safety protocols Participate in team-building activities and foster a positive healthcare work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as required Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing nursing education Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
