As a Weekend Day Residential Counselor, you will play an essential role in our residential program, which operates to offer a safe and supportive environment during the critical weekend period. You will work directly with youth, establishing a nurturing rapport and guiding them toward positive behaviors and better outcomes. Provide direct supervision and support to youth residents during weekend hours. Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans. Conduct group and one-on-one counseling sessions addressing the needs such as self-esteem, conflict resolution, and other personal challenges. Monitor the emotional and physical well-being of youth, reporting concerns to appropriate senior staff. Facilitate and supervise activities that encourage personal growth and team building. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment within the facility. Document and maintain accurate records of residents' progress and incidents in compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trusting relationships. Ability to respond effectively to crisis situations. Proficiency in implementing behavioral management strategies. Demonstrated empathy and resilience in stressful situations. Capable of maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality. Certified in CPR and First Aid. Any additional certifications in Youth Counseling, Crisis Prevention, or related fields are highly favorable.
