Role Description

The Renewal Sales Specialist is responsible for owning and enabling highly complex multi-step Renewal processes in order to secure a service contract/product renewal. This typically involves management of top tier/Enterprise customers, which requires broad cross-functional team collaboration and dynamic problem solving. Depending on the client engagement, the role may involve up-selling customers to longer terms or additional services and/or identifying potential expansion opportunities. By cultivating relationships with the customer base, this role is also responsible for capturing valuable customer feedback and will likely execute routine health checks leading up to the Renewal event. Additionally, the Renewal Sales Specialist is responsible for providing sales forecasts, obtaining quotes, performing customer research online, and updating/maintaining records in our customer relationship management (CRM) system.

Responsibilities


  • Primary objective for success is enabling complex renewal & selling results in collaboration with other parties who maintain high satisfaction with your engagement
  • Maintain highly professional relationships with some of the most recognized technology companies and experienced sales professionals
  • Achieve your quota by selling product/service renewals for some of the most recognized technology companies, may offer upsell opportunities when applicable
  • Identify lead generation opportunities in order to expand the territory and drive upsells
  • Capture customers' product expectations, experiences, satisfaction, and abandonment propensity via qualitative feedback and quantitative measurement, "Voice of the Customer"
  • Conduct routine Health Checks in advance of the renewal date in order to ensure a timely renewal
  • Work within an established customer base and own a strategic territory
  • Develop the expertise to provide accurate monthly/quarterly sales forecast
  • Acquire invaluable experience updating and managing your opportunity pipeline in the latest CRM technology
  • Have ability to proactively provide all the contract and product information required to execute a renewal
  • Build long lasting partnerships with other team members and management to optimize sales processes
  • Each day, work with a high volume of customer contacts through phone and email interaction
  • Effectively partner and build relationships with external clients including executives, channel partners, field representatives
  • Overcome complex challenges in a multi-step sales process involving multiple parties

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years' experience working in a customer service or sales capacity required
    • College degree required
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment required
    • Must have excellent product knowledge
    • Working knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
    • Aptitude to learn new technology is required
    • Must have excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
