skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic
team.Job Description: The Low Voltage Technician will be
responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
of low voltage systems, including but not limited to phone systems
and computer networks. The successful candidate will possess a
strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and
the ability to work independently or as part of a
team.Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including
phone systems and computer networks, in residential and commercial
settings.
- Perform routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades of low
voltage systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with
industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to low voltage
systems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in
a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to
understand project requirements and ensure successful completion of
installations and upgrades.
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks to verify
the functionality and reliability of low voltage systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding
phone system and network-related issues, including remote
troubleshooting and on-site assistance when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, repairs,
and system configurations, including wiring diagrams, equipment
inventories, and service records.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and
emerging technologies related to low voltage systems and
networking.Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical
certifications or vocational training in low voltage systems or
related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience working as a Low Voltage Technician,
preferably in a residential or commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, including phone
systems and computer networks.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to
low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as
BICSI and SCTE certifications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with
the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical
individuals.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time
and resources effectively.
- Flexibility to work in different settings, including
non-travel, travel, and night shifts, as per project
requirements.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Preferred
Skills:
- BICSI and/or SCTE certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience in phone system troubleshooting and network
troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of structured cabling systems and fiber optic
installations.
- Familiarity with equipment such as routers, switches, and
firewalls.
- Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and network
protocols.
- Experience with VoIP and PBX phone systems.We offer competitive
