Maintenance Technician I Primary Functions and Responsibilities:Must be able to fabricate and install parts to equipment or facilities to insure safe and continued operation using blueprints, written and/or verbal instructions.Examine work orders and PM's and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.Basic record keeping techniques.Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, methods and techniques used in skilled and general maintenance and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, hydraulics and mechanical systems.Federal, state and local building codes and regulations.Ability to perform a wide variety of skilled journey-level work in the maintenance and repair fields.Prioritize, schedule, assign and review work.Interpret, explain and apply codes, rules and regulations involved in assigned maintenance activities.Effectively and safely operate a variety of tools and equipment.Work independently with little direction.Meet schedules and timelines including routine record keeping.Requirements:Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.Requires use of hands for grasping and fine manipulation.Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching.Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 75 pounds.Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.Will work with a variety of chemicals, equipment and processes.Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.Printing industry is a plus, but not required.
