infrastructure. As the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Analyst ( internally known as Staff Accountant I ), you will have
the opportunity to partner with our IT Professionals within Global
Information Services (GIS). You will play a key role in advising
Caterpillar IT Leadership as we work to profitably grow the
business through innovation and modernization of IT Services across
the organization. What You Will Do:
- Do work that has a true business impact
- Provide valuable insights to our Senior Leaders that will
directly impact Caterpillar's business, strategy, and growth
- Collaborate and grow your network
- Collaborate across a variety of groups at Caterpillar,
including accounting, human resources, communications, and IT
professionals
- Grow your leadership skillset
- Lead monthly analysis, support discussions with leaders on
business results and financial analysis and demonstrate
decision-making skills and ownership for results Job duties include
but are not limited to the following:
- Monthly financial reporting and analysis supporting the GIS
organization
- Presentation of monthly financial results and analysis to the
Vice President and Division Managers
- Aid in the development of annual business plans including
capital and expense
- Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and
reporting processes
- Ad hoc support as needed What You Have:
- 4-year degree in accounting/finance OR any 4-year degree with
an accounting certification (CPA/CMA)
- 1+ years in accounting/finance/business roles with increasing
responsibility, including exposure to financial reporting
systems
- Demonstrated record of initiative, accountability, and
attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills with a passion for asking
questions, solving problems, and driving improvements
- Proven positive results in customer service and business
partnering
