Job Description:
Job DescriptionJob Purpose:Research inventory discrepancies to
ensure a correct count of merchandise in the warehouse.
Participates in various aspects of the product handling process.
Satisfy Purchasing / Customer expectations. Resolve Vendor product
compliance issues.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs zone checks and cycle counts.
- Reconciles all items on the back order and audit report
daily.
- Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock
and adjusts errors in computation of count or investigates and
reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Handles stock checks, date verification and other special items
for buyers.
- Operates company machinery as applicable to department and
according to all operating and safety instructions.
- Keeps assigned area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Sticker products with correct UPC numbers, Item numbers, and
price.
- Involved in de-tagging / re-tagging merchandise.
- Repackages products manually for storage or shipment and
inspects products and containers at each step of the packaging
process to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Re-package according to assortment and quantity, correct master
carton quantities.
- Garment folding and packaging per customer request.
- Assemble boxes and displays
- Fix defective items, disassemble, repair, add or remove
parts.
- Other duties may be assigned.Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in
all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and
decimals.
- Ability to use Inventory Computer programs and Tablet programs
to update and help with counts, reports and spreadsheets.
- Mathematical and analytical skills.
- Critical thinking and critical thinking skills.Physical
Demands/Work Environment:
- Regularly required to walk; use hands and arms to finger,
handle, or reach; ability to hear and see; ability to lift and/or
move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stoop, kneel or crouch;
talk/communicate; work near moving mechanical parts or
objects.
- Occasionally required to stand in one place; sit; climb or
balance; work in high places; subject to fumes and/or chemicals;
ability to move up to 2,200 lbs.
