POSITION SUMMARYThe Help Desk Technician responds to telephone calls, email, and in-person requests for technical support on a variety of issues. This role identifies, researches, and monitors technical problems to ensure a timely resolution. The primary focus of this position is on tablet devices, receipt printers, and field user support. We are seeking a fast learner that possesses strong customer service skills and has a technology background.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides technical-world class service to Hunt Brothers team members responding to tickets, phone calls, and emails. Initial triage of issues coming into the helpdesk. Provides tier 1 support for the Apple iPad tablet, tablet sales application, and accessories.Assist with Mobile Device Management configuration, inventory control, and repair of equipment. Coordinates hardware warranty repairs with vendors. Facilitates new user setup in Active Directory, Microsoft O365, and file permissions. Provides in person and remote support for office end users computers, peripherals, and software.Provides end user support for remote access via Sophos VPN or Citrix.Configures anti-virus/anti-malware applications.Aids in IP Phone setup and administration. Aids in building security administration for cameras and building access.Aids Network Administrator as needed with network infrastructure, firewall, cabling, backups, etc.Maintains accurate and detailed records in ticketing system for all help desk requests.Uphold service level expectations. Collaborate with technology team members for sound technical solutions.Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical end users. Attends meetings and or training sessions as requested.Consistent punctuality and attendance are essential.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCEAssociate's degree, A+ or equivalent IT Certifications.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Help Desk experience supporting local and remote users preferred.2+ years of technical experience in an IT Support role. Strong computer hardware troubleshooting skills.Ability to work in a small team environment and address real business needs.Experience with Apple iOS preferred.Windows 10 OS Experience is a must, Mac OS is a plus. Current experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.Experience with basic user administration for Active Directory is a plus. Familiar with basic to intermediate networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and IP routing is helpful. Initiative and ability to respond quickly to changing priorities.Ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously. Organizational skills, analytic capabilities, and attention to detail.Communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences either verbally or written. Most work occurs during regular workdays but must have a willingness to work flexible shifts and schedule, including weekends, nights, and holiday when necessary. Fluently speaks English.WORK ENVIRONMENTOffice environment.Remote Work available, COVID-19 dependent. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSTravel may be required as needed. This is presently, COVID-19 dependent. This may include visiting vendors, suppliers, and customers (both internal and external.)
