JOB TITLE: LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse for FT and PTDEPT: Nashville TN - Detox CenterSCHEDULE: Shifts available include 7a-7p / 7p-7a with rotating weekend shift coverageLicensed Practical Nurse SummaryProvides care for clients dealing with co-occurring disorders in a detox setting located in Nashville TNESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Takes client's vital signs, treats wounds, and evaluates physical condition of clients as needed in emergency situations
• Maintains record of persons treated, and prepares incident reports
• Completes client medical history to be added to the clinical record
• Performs tuberculosis testing on all clients at time of admission and employees and makes appropriate referrals for individual's exhibiting S/S of TB or presenting with positive TB test
• Is responsible for the follow-up and documentation of medical information into the client's clinical record
• Completes the medical admission process and assists the medical records department, as needed
• Is available to answer medical questions after hours as needed by on-call staff
• Performs other duties as required or neededQUALIFICATIONS
  • An Active Unencumbered Nursing License in the State of Tennessee, required
  • Pass Background Check and Drug Screen required
  • Must have strong computer skills with ability to type 30 wpm
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills and strong organizational skills with paperwork
  • Keeps a current CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Valid TN D.L. with "F" endorsement required; ; "F" endorsement can be obtained once hiredEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • Degree in Nursing required
