Job Title: Retail Setup Team Leader
Reports to: Director of Construction
__________________________________________________________________________________________
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and follow store layout drawings provided by Director of
Construction.
- Able to construct all store fixtures, including: gondola
shelving, furniture racking, apparel racks, cash wraps, desks,
etc.
- Drive team members to work location and transport them daily to
and from the job site.
- Direct work schedule for team members according to
location.
- Responsible for hiring, discipline, up to and including the
termination of team members.
- Responsible for making hotel reservations for all team members
and negotiating the best possible deal.
- Responsible for transporting team members to all meals,
following the corporate standard for meal expenses.
- Responsible for maintaining and submitting to payroll each team
member's time card.
- Communicate with Landlord representatives, contractors, and
vendors to ensure site is made ready for opening.
- Communicate with all applicable City and State Codes
departments to ensure receiving Certificate of Occupancy prior to
store opening.
- Communicate daily with Director of Construction concerning
store progress updates.
- Communicate with the V.P. of Real Estate any store fixtures
needing to be ordered.
- Communicate with I.T regarding the progress of the store and
expected opening date.
- Communicate with the Transportation Manager to establish truck
schedule.
- Direct setup team members during entire Store Opening
Process.
- Direct unloading and loading of trucks prior to store
opening.
- Must be available for contact during entire process.
- Must stay up to date on all corporate directives and
e-mails.
- Must produce a weekly recap e-mail sent to all applicable
departments.
- Must follow all corporate direction regarding expenses,
reporting and keeping track of receipts.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties/tasks as assigned by the
Director of Construction.
Job Specifications and Qualifications
- Field Experience in construction/carpentry
- Knowledge of construction industry principles and best
practices
- Knowledge of blueprints and detailed construction drawings
- Supervisory experience
- Project Management Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal
and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others;
promote a safe work environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to stand/work on
your feet for prolonged times
- Able to climb ladders 10 feet or higher
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
- Must be able to pass background check
