Job Description: Field Supervisor - Low Voltage Fire and
Security (Commercial and Industrial Industry)Position Overview: We
are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Supervisor to
oversee low voltage fire and security projects within the
commercial and industrial sector. In this role, you will be
responsible for supervising and coordinating field operations,
ensuring project completion within specified timelines and quality
standards. The position requires a strong technical background in
low voltage fire and security systems, excellent leadership
abilities, and the willingness to travel up to 30% of the
time.Responsibilities:
- Project Supervision: Oversee and coordinate low voltage fire
and security projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to
project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Field Operations: Manage and direct field technicians,
subcontractors, and other personnel to ensure efficient and
effective execution of projects.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all installations, inspections,
and repairs meet or exceed established quality standards and comply
with applicable codes and regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to
field personnel, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist in the
resolution of technical challenges.
- Training and Development: Mentor and train field staff,
ensuring their continuous professional growth and promoting a
culture of excellence and safety.
- Site Visits and Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to
assess progress, identify potential issues, and implement
corrective actions as necessary.
- Customer Relations: Collaborate with clients, consultants, and
other stakeholders to address their needs, resolve concerns, and
maintain positive working relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project
documentation, including daily reports, material tracking, change
orders, and other required records.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, control
costs, and provide input on cost-effective strategies to optimize
project profitability.
- Health and Safety: Enforce compliance with safety policies,
procedures, and regulations, promoting a culture of safety
awareness and accountability on job sites.Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,
Electronics, or a related field is preferred. Relevant
certifications in low voltage fire and security systems are highly
desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the
installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage fire
and security systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory
role.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of low voltage fire
alarm systems, access control systems, video surveillance systems,
and other related technologies. Familiarity with relevant codes and
regulations (e.g., NFPA, NEC, ADA) is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team,
delegate tasks effectively, and drive performance in a fast-paced
field environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally
with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues,
propose innovative solutions, and make sound decisions under
pressure.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to project
sites, which may include overnight stays.Note: This job description
