AccountabilityJob Summary:Our Packaging Associate is responsible
for packaging and overseeing a range of products as they complete
their travel through the line. The Packaging Associate is
responsible for quality control, staging cardboard, keeping up with
overflow, stacking trays, loading pallets and slip sheets,
monitoring tray city, placing labels, lot number tracking and
helping with duties related to keeping the line running smoothly.

-What to expect - Essential Functions:
Aid in line setup and changeover of product, identifying critical
controls and issues
Maintain hourly production targets -
Meet control plan and maintain machine checks as a critical check
point
Use production run sheets to complete daily production run
Update production system and/or case total board with completed
case counts in order to communicate production goals to next
shift
Maintains raw material inventory and communicate discrepancies as
needed
Set up and operate multiple machines in the packaging area
Ensure enough materials are staged for product being produced
Ensure the correct amount of product is in bag and/or case
Train, develop, and motivate team members on job performance,
quality expectations, and standardized work
Adheres to production schedules, ensures production orders are met
for finished goods inventories, minimizing waste to ensure
conformance to safety and quality standards
Removes all out-of-spec product from the line and notifies
Production Supervisor of all non-conforming product or processes on
the line
Ensure a safe operation, complying with the corporate accident
prevention program, and following safe work practices.
Attends Monthly required safety meetings when applicable
Inform Management for maintenance and repair of production
equipment, and for machine parts and manufacturing supplies.
-Recommends improvements in machinery and equipment and in
manufacturing methods
Ensures company standard practices and procedures are followed
Maintains and reports production-related information regarding
yields, efficiencies and labor utilization to management and/or
related tracking programs
Participates in weekly GMP, sanitation, and safety inspections
throughout the production departments and corrects any identified
deficiencies -
Performs other related responsibilities, as needed or directed by
Production Supervisor and Manager, to support Crown Bakeries
business objectives

Have received a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Must be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend
work
Willing to acquire a wide variety of skills to assist the
surrounding team and fully understand the processes
Drive for Results, Process Management, Integrity & Trust, Conflict
Management, and Time Management
Able to problem solve, learn on the fly, process and technical
learning, and quality decision
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work
independently
Work in a noisy environment for length of shift
Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds repeatedly
Reach above shoulder height
Able to bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and

Salary Description
$14.50/hour plus $1.00 shift differential
