Job Description Acts as liaison between PPS, physician practices and external companies to facilitate collection placement. Creates collection files for practices on a monthly basis in compliance with policy Reviews practice collection adjustment requests for compliance and accuracy Reviews Collection Reversal Logs for compliance, accuracy and voids collection adjustments Reviews Bankruptcy, Deceased, and Closed files from agencies for accuracy. Adjusts respective balances to Bad Debt Communicates effectively with agencies, practices, and accounts receivable staff Manually create collection files for Industrial/Corporate accounts Responds to correspondence within a timely manner (2 Business Days) Completes special projects as needed Logs requests in ticketing system Qualifications Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Preferred Education: Required Experience: 3 months clerical experience in billing and/or collections environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Experience: Required License/Registration/Certification: Preferred License/Registration/Certification: Computer Skills Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of general computer applications and practice management systems.
