REMOTE Business Development Manager (Life Sciences)

A large Healthcare company is looking for a Business Development
Manager (Life Sciences Data Solutions) to join their team. They
will be the 4th member on this team. They will be responsible for
generating new revenue & developing strategic partnerships using a
consultative approach within the Life Sciences market. A typical
sale length is 3-6 months and can expect yearly quotas of $1M+.
Travel will be required for this role for certain deals. Other
duties are as follows:
Build & maintain relationships with key constituents within Life
Employ an effective consultative approach to meeting customer
objectives. Use solid listening & critical thinking to design
winning solutions for customers.
Effectively capture customer needs in a formal use case definition.
Develop proposals that meet customer & company needs.
Develop & close new business identify & qualify opportunities,
proactively manage the selling process, negotiate & close
Direct, tailor & conduct sales presentations that reflect our
understanding needs of the prospect and how the company can help
clients reach their goals. Effectively communicate the companys
Data Solutions value proposition.
Establish realistic internal & external expectations &
Collaborate with senior sales & product, legal & tech team members
to create comprehensive selling strategies for assigned target
markets and target opportunities.
Identify, capture & communicate marketplace feedback to our product
& executive team
Collaborate with marketing in the development of compelling content
for our go to market activities.
Experience working at/selling to one of these companies:
o Source Healthcare Analytics
o NDC Health
o Wolters Kluwer
o DRG Decision Resource Group
o Clarivate Analytics
o IMS Health
o Symphony Health Solutions
o Lexus Nexus
3-5 years experience consultative selling technical solutions to
Life Science markets/companies i.e pharmaceutical, biotech, medical
device, clinical research organizations (NOT Pharmaceutical
Thorough understanding of the process of selling into the
o Knowing how to sell Data, Analytics, & Technology directly to
Proven track record in developing new relationships & cross-selling
Proven track record in developing relationships & ensuring
operational success of data products
Pre-existing relationships & knowledge of key constituents in Life
Sciences market (potential licensees & partners).
Extensive knowledge of data/analytics in the healthcare ecosystem,
and its power to bend the cost curve and improve health outcomes.
