As a Cardiac
Catheterization Nurse at Saint Thomas, you will work in the top
heart hospital in the State and top 50 in the country. This
means you will have the most innovative tools and procedures to
give our patients the absolute best care. This is a FUN
and Collaborative team working to promote the best plan of care for
each patient, making recommendations for patient interventions, and
collaborating with other health care providers to deliver care and
document outcomes. The goal of this unit is to assist the
Cardiologists for minimally invasive procedures to evaluate,
diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions. This is a very
rewarding career with the opportunity to truly impact the lives of

What You Will Need:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic,
therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac
- Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures. Perform
conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
- Prepare, implement and document plan of care. Communicate
patient's condition to physician before, during and after

Licensure / Certification /
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of
hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
(AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board
of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license
recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
