Academics is to collaborate with the Associate Head of the Upper
School and other administrators to oversee all academic programming
at Lipscomb Academy Upper School. Job Related Skills Excellent oral

Comments & Information Minimum of five (5) years of professional
teaching experience and holds a valid teaching degree
Master's Degree or higher in Educational Leadership or related
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a successful leader in
instruction, curriculum and assessment or similar capacity (e.g.,
Department Chair, Team Leader, etc.); experience with instruction
integrating Spiritual Formation preferred. About Lipscomb

Christian K-12 school associated with the fellowship of the Church

the Church of Christ. Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Description of Tasks Performed Lead ongoing academic standards
review process in all disciplines.
Lead ongoing review of curriculum and assessment development.
Lead analysis of academic data including grades, and standardized
Support faculty in curriculum and assessment development.
Support faculty in implementation of best practices in planning,
instruction, and assessment.
Coordinate with administrators from Middle and Lower Schools to
facilitate vertical standard and curriculum alignment.
Collaborate with other administrators to plan and carry out faculty
Guide faculty in review and selection of course materials,
including leading textbook processes.
Collaborate with other administrators in the teacher observation
and evaluation process.
Oversee course proposal process.
Oversee development and review of academic policies.
Collaborate with other administrators and counseling staff to
oversee standardized testing programs at the Upper School and
coordinate with the Middle and Lower Schools.
Participate with other administrators and counseling staff to
support student academic needs.
Participate in leadership of Spiritual Formation efforts through
all academic experiences at Lipscomb.
Lead faculty in development of culturally responsive teaching
Participate in and support the integration of global learning
Participate in visioning of the future of Christian education.
Participate in the admissions process as needed.
Participate in the faculty hiring process as needed.
Fill in as a department chair if needed.
Teach up to one course as needed.
