Ref ID: 03930-0011503953Classification: Accounting ClerkCompensation: DOEAccountemps is in need of an Accounting Clerk to work in the CPA Firm - Business Mgmt industry, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary-to-full-time position located in the Nashville, Tennessee area. What you get to do every single day - Publish financial information to journals and ledgers - Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes - Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources - Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt - Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Support Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filingJob Requirements:- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities - Ability to multitask and meet deadlines - Prior experience in Spreadsheet and ERP system - 2+ years of relevant experience - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred - Foundational knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR) - Debits experience required - Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired - Payroll experience - Proficiency in creditAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
