Posting End Date: October 30, 2020 Employee Type: Regular-Full time Union/Non: This is a non-union position Are you looking to join a team where you can help form a key part of the Asset Integrity Programs team and assist in the development, implementation and continual improvement of the asset integrity program that implements management system requirements for all asset classes? The Enbridge Pipeline Integrity Department is currently looking for a Pipeline Integrity Planning Engineer to join its dynamic team EnbridgeCareersNashville What you will be doing: Execute the Core Process on all threat management programs on assigned segments of the Enbridge GTM system. Ensure the Integrity Plans are complete and designed for achieving as Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) safety targets including zero rupture and zero leak goals. Conduct and support data analyses supporting of the integrity programs, including analysis of in-line inspection, Direct Assessment, Hydrotesting and Nondestructive Examination (NDE) field results Support the implement integrity management processes; Support data integration and records management activities relating to core functions; Support the completion of validation and quality assurance of in-line inspection tools, direct assessments and integrity programs Ensure the continued compliance of integrity management processes with US and Canadian regulations, standards and best practices. Participate in regulatory audits as required; support decision records and technical reports deliverables Support focus projects related to assigned lines such as pressure restriction removal, audits, failure investigation, engineering assessments, etc. Provide a weekly status report summarizing assigned lines and programs activities and support the enhancement/update of integrity management processes. Act as the Subject Matter Lead and review and approve threat programs as assigned. Mentor and support stakeholders on integrity matters and Support Pipeline Integrity Engineering as assigned. The threat management programs routinely determine the need to make pipeline inspections, repairs, or identify other remediation requirements to proactively manage hazards to the pipeline system. The processes utilize established industry, or Enbridge, fitness for purpose methodology applied to the various pipeline systems at Enbridge GTM. The position requires strong technical understanding of pipeline strength evaluation methods and engineering assessment development experience. This role provides opportunities to develop leadership, consistent direction, focus and accountability to a group of engineers and analysts. The role requires strong analytical and decision-making skills. Who you are: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university or college Entry level position, up to 2 years of previous related experience. Able to provide specialized knowledge around Pipeline Integrity Drive disciplined analysis through utilizing computer software, excel spreadsheets and data analysis tools necessary to conduct detailed data analyses Embrace change through the ability to seek process improvements Communicate effectively with excellent presentation and technical writing skills Well-organized and ability to demonstrate personal agility Ability to influence and work effectively with others. Support team success through mentoring junior Staff. Working Conditions: Approximately 80% Office Environment and 20% in a field office or facilities outside operations in all types of weather. Must be able to remain calm and focused during emergency situations. May be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Will work with high pressure piping. May work in excavations. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may be above 90 dBA. Works to meet concrete regulatory deadlines under facility operating authorizations. Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light --- moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
