Job Description:
As a Route Service Manager at UniFirst Corporation, you will
play a critical role in ensuring the excellence of our route
service operations for our workplace uniforms and protective
workwear deliveries. This position directly influences customer
satisfaction, retention, and the overall efficiency of service
delivery by managing our team of Route Service Representatives.
Based within our Transportation and Logistics department, the Route
Service Manager helps maintain our reputation by ensuring
operational standards are met and constantly improved upon. Oversee
the daily operations of Route Service Representatives, ensuring the
delivery schedules are adhered to. Train and develop team members
on best practices in route service delivery and customer
interaction. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide
coaching to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain
compliance with safety standards and regulations throughout the
transportation and logistics process. Interact with clients to
ascertain their requirements and to address any concerns or queries
they might have. Monitor maintenance and report necessary repairs
for transport vehicles to ensure safe and operational vehicles.
Implement strategies to enhance service efficiency, reduce costs,
and increase customer satisfaction. Prepare reports on route
efficiency and other key metrics for senior management review.
Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent
communication and customer service skills Critical thinking and
problem-solving abilities Proficiency in logistics software and
route management tools Ability to effectively train and develop
staff Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities Medical
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified in Logistics,
Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) preferred Commercial
Driver’s License (CDL) beneficial but not required
