Our law firm, which is dedicated 100% to divorce, adoptions, and pre-and post-marital asset protection, has a full-time Associate Attorney position available now and we're looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You'll also be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. --- Communicate with clients giving legal advice, and set legal strategies to help clients determine the best possible outcome for their legal conflicts, divorces, premarital asset protection, post-marital assets protection, and for adoptions
--- Protect, defend, and represent clients at depositions, motion hearings, final hearings, mediation
--- Attend client meetings for strategy and case assessment
--- Review/approve/finalize non-attorney work product
--- Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, Marital Dissolution Agreements, ante-nuptial agreements, asset protection trusts
--- Negotiations with opposing parties and opposing counsel
--- Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to efficiently move cases toward resolution
--- Work with paralegals in preparing for hearings, trials, mediation, and depositions under the supervision of senior associates
--- Manage and supervise non-attorneys in maintaining the calendars and deadlines, and in managing the cloud files (scanning all documents to the appropriate file in the cloud) and report any compliance problems to the managing attorney


--- Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
--- Successful completion of the bar exam
--- Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
--- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
--- Licensed to practice Law in the State of Tennessee
--- Experience in a family law firm is a plus
--- Exceptional communication And listening skills are needed to adequately represent our mostly stressed-out clients
--- Problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
--- Exceptional writing skills, articulate, and well-dressed
