Job Description:
Position Title: Senior Desktop Engineer - Hybrid This is a
hybrid position based at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN,
with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday. Reports To:
Senior Director, End User Computing (EUC) Position Summary: The
Senior Desktop Engineer is a key technical leader within the End
User Computing (EUC) organization, responsible for ensuring the
stability, security, and performance of all enterprise endpoints.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Lead enterprise patching and
update cycles for critical business systems, operating systems, and
security components. • Deploy and validate software updates using
tools such as Microsoft Intune, Tanium, and other orchestration
platforms. • Develop advanced automation and scripts (PowerShell,
Intune scripting, API-based workflows) to eliminate manual tasks
and enforce configuration standards. • Architect and maintain
endpoint configuration baselines, compliance policies, and secure
configurations. • Troubleshoot escalated workstation, application,
and configuration issues. • Build automated deployment pipelines
for applications, configurations, and security baselines. • Support
acquisition integrations through standardized endpoint imaging and
provisioning processes. • Manage escalated ServiceNow incidents,
requests, and project tasks while meeting SLAs. • Document
engineering processes, automation logic, and configuration
standards. • Mentor junior staff and contribute to building EUC
engineering maturity. Education & Experience Requirements •
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in desktop engineering, endpoint
management, or systems administration. • Strong hands-on experience
with Microsoft Intune, Tanium, Azure AD, and patching toolsets. •
Demonstrated expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation. •
Proven ability to manage enterprise patching and vulnerability
remediation processes. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Deep
understanding of Windows OS internals and enterprise endpoint
configuration. • Expertise in software patching strategies,
compliance enforcement, and vulnerability workflows. • Advanced
scripting and automation skills. • Strong analytical and
troubleshooting abilities. • Excellent communication and cross-team
collaboration skills. Environmental & Working Conditions •
Fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities. •
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support patch
windows. • Hybrid or remote work options may be available depending
