Job Title: Food Service Lead Company: Greyhound Division: Food Service Job Summary: The Food Service Lead oversee a shift's operation to ensure customer satisfaction through quality services and products in a clean and safe environment. Job Duties: Inspects that all food and merchandise are prepared, priced, and served in accordance with company policies. Participates in on-going training programs and assists in the training of new employees. Works with other departments, key personnel, vendors, etc. to help run an efficient shift operation. Resolves minor customer complaints regarding food service and escalates any major concerns. Helps safeguard all monies and company property from theft or misuse; including participation in inventories and custody of the shift change funds. Keeps management informed of operation concerns (e.g. low inventory; equipment failures; policy violations; employee and customer issues, etc.). Helps monitor operation and recommends measures for improving work efficiency (e.g. changes to schedules, serving hours, procedures, etc.) or for preventing waste or deterring theft. Helps with administrative tasks in record keeping and financial reporting. Upholds and enforces all food service policies, standards, and procedures. Performs Food Service tasks (e.g. cooking, cleaning, taking orders, etc.). Performs all other tasks assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) Certifications: None Experience: 1-year Restaurant Industry Experience Knowledge: Customer Service Principles Food Handling Requirements Skills: Interpersonal Skills Customer Service Orientation Numerical Reasoning Active Listening & Oral Expression Reading, writing, and speaking in English Abilities: Ability to stand/walk 90% of shift Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to perform pushing/pulling activities. Ability to bend/stoop, squat, and kneel/crouch/crawl Ability to climb, reach, and twist Other: Flexibility to work on holidays, weekends, and different shifts. Able to wear safety equipment (e.g. Apron, goggles, heat resistant gloves, etc.) May be required to work 100% indoors in a food service environment, with noise/fumes, machines, cleaning chemicals, tools equipment and work aids.
