Job DescriptionJob Profile Summary: Take food & beverage orders, prepare and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to Company and Brand specifications. Maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment. Responsible for inventory management and maintain liquor security controls. Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local laws and regulations, and Company and Brand standards. Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment at all times is required. Possess technical knowledge and aptitude. Essential Responsibilities and Duties include the following -­‐ Other Duties May Be Assigned:

• Adhere to Platinum Management Services, LLC. and Brand specific standards.
• Adhere to statutory requirements applicable to food and drink service (i.e. ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Server Permit).
• Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving. Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers.
• Comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances as they apply to the property, guests and departmental personnel.
• Adhere to safety and emergency procedures and policies (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards.
• Greet guests and take food and beverage orders, utilize suggestive/up-selling techniques.
• Set up bar including all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware and supplies according to Company and Brand standards.
• Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel information including but not limited to menu items, room categories, packages, promotions, local area, attractions and events.
• Effectively communicate with management to prepare and submit purchase requests and ensure adequate inventory, based on forecasted business volume and budgeted revenue and profitability goals.
• Legibly document orders when system is down and distribute orders to respective personnel for preparation of order; follow call procedures at the Bar. Retrieve orders from designated areas and serve to guests.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
• Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart.
• Clearly communicate last call at designated closing time to guests.
• Collect and report tips at the end of assigned shift.
• Use all chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations and Hotel requirements.Complete closing side duties: a) Properly store all reusable goods. b) Remove snack bowls from tables. c) Remove all items from tables; place clean items in designated areas; wipe clean all surfaces of tables. d) Restock supply cabinet. e) Secure all storage areas.
• Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system.
• Obtain assigned cash bank and ensure accuracy of monies.
• Keep cash bank secure at all times.Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
• Answer outlet telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
• Remove soiled wares from tables to dishwashing area.Present guest checks and process payments through the Bartender/Cashier. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Maintain inventory log continuously throughout the shift. Record any variances i.e. breakage and spillage accurately.
• Keep company business including but not limited to, financials, personnel, guest and customer data strictly confidential.Qualifications & Requirements:
  • An alcohol awareness certification and or food service permit or valid health/ food handler card(s) may be required in accordance with state and local government agencies, Company and Brand standards.
  • Professional appearance and grooming must be adhered to at all times. Uniforms must be worn according to Company and Brand standards.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
  • Possess technical knowledge and aptitude. MICROS experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of beer, wines, mixers, liquors and non-­‐alcoholic beverages and preparation methods.
  • Ability to attend and complete job and Brand training.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be a self‐starter.
  • Be organized and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Stand for an extended period of time.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place object weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.
  • Previous experience required; formal bartending experience preferred.
  • Micros experience a plus.
  • Must meet state legal age requirements.
