Night-shift cardiac ICU travel nursing job for experienced critical care nurses looking to advance their career in a high-acuity Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in Music City./n /n/nRole Snapshot/n /n - Position: CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) / Cardiac ICU RN / Travel Nurse/n - Location: Nashville, TN 37203 — Nashville nursing jobs / Tennessee ICU jobs/n - Assignment Type: Travel / Contract (13 weeks)/n - Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)/n - Start – End Dates: March 3, 2026 – June 2, 2026/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Openings: 2/n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Unit: 16-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)/n - Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2 (1:1 for select device patients)/n - Coverage: 24/7 intensivist support/n - Equipment & Technology: Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps; Meditech EMR documentation/n - Dress Code: Black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs; scrub jackets/vests only/n - Location Perks: Live music, diverse dining, and a vibrant downtown—ideal for travel nurses and cardiac ICU RNs relocating to Nashville/n /n/nJob Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the required state (compact or state license as applicable)/n - Minimum 1 year of critical care nursing experience, including CVICU or Cardiac ICU experience (preferred for travel CVICU RN roles)/n - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required/n - Proficiency in PA (Swan-Ganz) catheter management and hemodynamic monitoring/n - Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, CRRT, ECMO, CentriMag, and HM3 LVADs/n - Ability to work 2 weekends per month, 1 summer holiday, and 2 winter holidays as assigned/n - Willingness to float as needed to other ICUs or hospital floors/n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n /n - Provide expert post-operative cardiac surgery care for high-acuity CVICU patients as a critical care nurse and cardiac ICU RN/n - Manage and monitor advanced cardiovascular devices and therapies, including ECMO, CentriMag, and LVADs/n - Perform and assist with invasive procedures such as central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter management, and intubations/n - Interpret hemodynamic data and initiate evidence-based interventions for rapid changes in patient condition/n - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiac surgeons and 24/7 intensivist coverage/n - Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Meditech EMR/n - Adhere to unit policies, professional standards, and the established dress code/n /n/n Why Choose This CVICU RN Role?
