Nashville OB/GYN Residency Program Core Faculty Opportunity
Nashville, Tennessee The University of Tennessee Health Science
Center - Nashville at Nashville, OB/GYN Residency Program has an
immediate opening for a core faculty position. The primary site for
the program is Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital Midtown. The
program’s clinic is a newly-renovated 16,000 square foot facility
that is in the heart of the community it serves. This position is
responsible for clinical care in general obstetrics and gynecology
including labor & delivery, outpatient care, and gynecological
surgery, with oversight and teaching of medical students and
residents. Ascension Saint Thomas and the University of Tennessee
Health Science Center (UTHSC) have an established partnership in
Middle Tennessee for training medical residents and fellows in a
variety of specialties including cardiology, emergency medicine,
family medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and
gynecology, and general surgery. Requirements BC/BE in OBGYN Strong

The hospital is one of the largest in the state with 683 licensed
acute and rehab care beds and covers nearly 2 million square feet
and spans more than six city blocks. Ascension Saint Thomas
continues to make significant investments to care for our
community, including a $300 million Midtown campus expansion
project which was completed in 2023. Recent expansions at our
hospital in Midtown include a new ICU and surgical tower, and the
Women’s Hospital Pavilion which opened in 2023. This dedicated
entrance patients with immediate access to all women’s care
services, such as our OB-GYN Emergency Department and Birthing
Center, making access to care more direct and convenient. The
expansion project distinguishes Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital
Midtown as a clinically and technologically advanced healthcare

patients’ unique, changing needs. One out of every 12 babies in the

you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Physician
MD/DO credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners
obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
