Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,033 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS certification Must-Have: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg specialty. The unit has a total of 34 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. Tech support is available on both day and night shifts, with a unit secretary present from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Key equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Nurses are expected to work three 12-hour shifts per week, including two weekends for a total of four shifts in a four-week schedule. The floating policy prioritizes contract labor staff based on rotation when multiple staff members are scheduled. Healthcare professionals are expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to all patients and their family members. Bedside shift reports will be conducted, focusing on making personal connections with patients and including them and their families in the care plan. The unit is certified as a Comprehensive Stroke and Level II Trauma Center and is recognized as a Certified Chest Pain Center. Dress code requires navy scrubs, tops, and bottoms.
