Job Description:
Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, seeks
an experienced and compassionate NICU Registered Respiratory
Therapist to join our talented team in the Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU). In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in
providing care for our most vulnerable patients—newborns with
respiratory distress or other health issues. We strive for

health and well-being of the communities we serve. Assess,
diagnose, and treat infants with breathing disorders or other
neonatal respiratory conditions. Monitor and adjust mechanical
ventilators to ensure appropriate breathing support. Perform
regular assessments and interpret patient information to adjust
treatments accordingly. Collaborate with neonatal doctors, nurses,
and other healthcare professionals to develop and manage treatment
plans. Provide emotional support and education to patients’
families regarding treatment plans and home care requirements.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and
optimize patient care. Implement and adhere to safety standards and
regulations to ensure quality care. Maintain patient records and
document all therapeutic interventions and assessments. Proficient
in the use of respiratory care equipment such as ventilators,
incubators, and oxygen delivery systems Strong analytical and
diagnostic skills Excellent teamwork and collaborative abilities
Adept in patient and family education Capability to handle
emotional and stressful situations Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Registered
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for
Respiratory Care (NBRC) Active state licensure as required BLS
Certified; ACLS and PALS certification preferred Neonatal
Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
