Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered
Nurse to specialize in Post-Operative Care for spinal surgery
patients within our faith-based healthcare network. This role is
pivotal in our mission to deliver high-quality, personalized
post-operative care, promoting quicker recovery and better outcomes
for our patients. As a member of our team, you will work in a
supportive environment that embraces innovation and values each

objectives. Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to
post-op spine surgery patients. Monitor patient recovery,
identifying complications and coordinating with healthcare teams to
respond to patient needs. Administer medications, manage pain, and
assist in patient mobility as prescribed by attending medical
professionals. Educate patients and their families on
post-operative care and lifestyle adjustments necessary for
recovery. Document patient care services by charting in patient and
department records. Ensure adherence to internal protocols and
external regulatory requirements. Engage in continuous education to
stay current with best practices in spine surgery care and
post-operative treatments. Strong clinical skills with a focus on
surgical recovery. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
to effectively provide comfort and information to patients and
family members. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex
documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries. High
level of proficiency in managing healthcare technology and software
necessary for patient care. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse
license in the state of practice. BLS/ACLS Certification required
from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) or similar credential is
highly desirable.
