Qualifications The Sonographer primarily supports ultrasound
services at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital with occasional
support for the Tower ultrasound department. This role involves
performing a variety of exams, including OB/GYN, high-risk OB, and
general diagnostic ultrasound for adult, pediatric, and neonatal
patients. As a 24/7/365 department, this position requires
flexibility in scheduling, including potential shift changes,
emergent staffing coverage, and on-call assignments to ensure
continuous patient care. What you will do in this role: Perform
ultrasound exams following protocols to ensure a high quality of
care. Competently operate equipment, including GE Voluson E6, GE
Logiq VS10, and GE Logiq S8. Conduct exams across service lines:
OB/GYN, high-risk OB, neonatal neuro, and general adult/pediatric
ultrasound. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of probes and
departmental work areas. Coordinate patient flow, retrieve orders,
and provide patient history to radiologists or perinatologists.
Educate patients about procedures and maintain professional
communication with patients, families, and physicians. Complete
accurate documentation and comply with quarterly targeted metrics
(Kronos, HealthStream, PACS). Participate in after-hour coverage
and holiday on-call rotations as needed. Promote ICARE values and
participate in quality improvement (QI) and performance improvement
(PI) plans. What qualifications you will need: Associate Degree or
Bachelor's Degree. Graduate of an accredited RDMS program. Basic
Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
(RDMS) or Radiography (ARRT-R) must be obtained within 6 months of
employment start date. 1 year of specialty experience in OB
ultrasound is preferred. 6 months of pediatric experience is
preferred. Vascular experience is preferred. Benefits TriStar
