Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, located in the vibrant heart
of Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated Interventional
Radiology (IR) Nurse to join our dynamic team within our
state-of-the-art healthcare facility. As part of our medical team,
the IR Nurse plays a critical role in providing specialized nursing
care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and
interventional radiology procedures. This role demands acute
attention to detail, exceptional clinical skills, and a deep
commitment to patient welfare and comfort during often complex
radiological interventions. Assess and prepare patients for
radiological procedures, ensuring informed consent and explaining
the procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels
during procedures, and administer medications as required. Operate
and monitor radiological equipment under the direction of
radiologists. Coordinate with radiologists, technologists, and
other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Maintain detailed patients records and adhere to all safety
guidelines and protocols. Provide post-procedure care, including
wound care, and educate patients and their families on
post-procedure care. Strong nursing and patient assessment skills
Ability to operate and understand advanced radiological technology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Capability to work
in a high-stress, fast-paced environment Critical thinking and
problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) Certification preferred Certification in Radiology
Nursing (CRN) is a plus
