Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,110 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care License: Registered Nurse Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Cardiac experience Strong critical care experience Description: Must have cardiac experience. Unit has 32 beds. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 2:1. Student nurse externs are available as techs. Unit secretary is available Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 15:30. Equipment includes Hill-Rom beds and Phillips telemetry monitors. Documentation system utilized is Meditech. Schedules are created in 4-week periods, requiring 3-4 weekend shifts. Staff may float to other units as needed, depending on unit census. No specific patient experience requirements. Advanced skills needed include PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring, IABP, Impella, and CRRT. Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertion, Swan insertion, and intubations. Dress code consists of scrubs in galaxy blue, red, or black, with scrub jackets or vests allowed. The unit has received recognition, including a Daisy Award. The unit has a growing cardiogenic shock program, with providers specializing in this patient population. There are 12 beds allotted for cardiogenic shock patients.
