Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after surgery, adhering to Ascension’s standards of care. Prepare operating rooms for surgery including sterilizing equipment and stocking necessary tools and supplies. Monitor patient vital signs and physical condition throughout procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to deliver effective team-based care. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and health maintenance upon discharge. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and report any concerns to the surgeon or physician in charge. Participate in continuous education sessions and contribute to team meetings to improve safety and outcomes in the operating room. Strong patient care and monitoring skills. Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in handling OR equipment and adherence to health and safety guidelines. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a surgical environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state RN License. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
