Medical Center summary: The position is for a Board-Eligible or
Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist specializing in newborn and
hospital medicine at Cookeville Regional Medical Center affiliated
with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Responsibilities include
providing inpatient pediatric and newborn care, participating in
delivery room procedures, and engaging in quality improvement
initiatives. The role requires specific clinical skills such as
circumcisions, UVC placements, and intubations, with certification
in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Position Overview The
Department of Neonatology, part of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's
Hospital at Vanderbilt (MCJCHV), is seeking a
Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn
Medicine Pediatrician to support Cookeville Regional Medical
Center, an affiliate hospital with Vanderbilt University Medical
Center. We are looking for a highly skilled clinician with a focus
on hospital medicine and a special interest in delivery rooms and
newborn care. Key Responsibilities Provide hospital medicine and
newborn care at Cookeville Regional Medical Center as a Vanderbilt
employee Participate in delivery room procedures and newborn care
Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
and clinical operations Perform Circumcisions, UVC Placements, and
Intubations using LMA Qualifications Board-Eligible or
Board-Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine or Pediatrics
Clinical focus on hospital medicine with training in delivery rooms

maltreatment. The division plays a vital role in both inpatient and
outpatient pediatric care, while also contributing to medical
education, research, and community advocacy. Led by a
multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, and nurse
