Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,842 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37207! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitasking, IV starts, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. Description: The unit has a total of 20 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 6:1. Tech support is available on both day and night shifts. A unit secretary is available from 7 AM to 7 PM. Type of equipment used includes IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology. Documentation is done using Meditech. Scheduling requires three 12-hour shifts per week, including two weekends. Floating policy dictates that contract labor is the first to float, with a rotation system for multiple scheduled staff. Expected patient experience includes providing attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families. Nurses are required to conduct bedside shift reports and make personal connections with patients while including them and their families in their plan of care. The unit holds certifications for comprehensive stroke care, is an ACS verified Level II trauma center, and is a certified chest pain center. Advanced skills are not required for this position. No specific procedures are performed on the unit. Dress code requires navy scrubs for tops and bottoms. Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided upon hire.
