Enjoy Nashville's vibrant music scene and cultural attractions while making a difference in patient care./n /n/nCardiac Stepdown RN Job Details/n /n - Location: Nashville, Tennessee (37203) – Tennessee nursing jobs/n - Unit: 5T PCU – Cardiac Stepdown/n - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)/n - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Schedule: Every other weekend required/n - Patient Ratio: 3:1/4:1/n - Documentation: Meditech EMR/n - Dress Code: Scrubs (Galaxy Blue, Red, Black)/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1530 - $1640/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active RN license (Registered Nurse)/n - Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or related clinical setting/n - BLS and ALS certifications (American Heart Association)/n - EKG Interpretation certification/n - Clinical experience with post-op CABGs, vascular, and general cardiac patient populations/n - Proficiency in cardiac drips/titrations and electrolyte replacement/n - Experience managing chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR Bands/n - Strong communication, teamwork, and responsiveness skills/n /n/nCardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including post-op CABG and vascular cases/n - Monitor and titrate cardiac drips, manage electrolyte replacement, and perform EKG interpretation/n - Manage chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR Bands/n - Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR/n - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes/n - Float to other nursing units as needed per facility policy/n - Enhance patient experience through effective pain management, communication, and responsiveness/n /n Apply now to join our Nashville healthcare team and take the next step in your cardiac nursing career!
