Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: RN Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Ability to float between units or facilities as needed. Willingness to work based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Description: Floating between units and facilities may be required within a 35-mile radius of the original assignment. Travelers will be notified before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is necessary. The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit provides care for patients with a variety of complex diagnoses. This includes, but is not limited to: abdominal revascularization, pneumonia, acute respiratory failure, diabetes mellitus, sepsis, septic shock, acute renal failure, stroke, and multiple organ system failure. Nursing staff are expected to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients with various conditions. They will manage and monitor patients post-interventional procedures and during acute episodes. Effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team are essential for optimal patient outcomes. Understanding of critical care protocols and adherence to safety standards is required.
