Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) night shift position, requiring recent ICU and acute care experience in a Level I trauma facility. Responsibilities - Work in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit within an acute care hospital setting - Unit serves pediatric cardiac, medical, surgical, and trauma patients from neonate to 21 years old - Unit size: 8 beds within a 128-bed facility - Nurse-to-patient ratio: Acute care 1:4, ICU 1:1-2 - Role may float to PICU, PCICU, or acute care as needed - Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) - Weekend requirement: 2 out of every 3 weekends per 6-week schedule (Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun) - No call required - Uses Epic EMR; prior experience required - Floating required between acute care, PICU, and PCICU units based on hospital needs - 12B unit also functions as an acute care unit for medical and surgical overflow - Must be flexible and able to care for a variety of pediatric patients - Orientation sessions begin every Monday - Limited time off approved, with a maximum of 5-7 days and holidays requests restricted - Required to work 2 winter and 2 summer holidays - Travelers scheduled based on in-house staffing needs Requirements - Active RN license from TN or a compact state - BLS and PALS certifications required - Minimum of 2 years RN experience in a Level I trauma facility - Prior travel nursing experience required - Recent ICU, cardiac, and acute care experience within the past 2 years - Epic EMR experience required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630117.
