TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37207! Pay Information $1,831 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS certification Must-Have: Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes. Description: Responsible for providing attentive and compassionate care to patients and their family members. Conduct bedside shift reports to ensure continuity of care. Make personal connections with patients and include them and their family members in their plan of care. Unit specifics include 20 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. Tech support is available on both day and night shifts, with an unit secretary on shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Required equipment includes IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximeters, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Scheduling requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, including two weekends, which totals four shifts in a four-week schedule. In the event of floating, contract labor is prioritized first, followed by rotation among the scheduled staff. The unit is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and an ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center. Dress code requires navy scrubs, consisting of both tops and bottoms.
