we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with
severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee.

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN), Substance Use Services
Position Summary: The Medical Operations Registered Nurse (RN)
supports licensed physician or advanced practice nurse, as well as
overall treatment team, in providing low threshold buprenorphine
treatment to consumers.
Schedule: 8am-4:30p, Mon-Fri
Work Location: Emergency Psychiatrist Services, 250 Cumberland
Bend, Nashville, TN (Onsite)
Position Responsibilities:
- Nursing assessments and prepare consumers for clinic
visits
- Interpret, process, and implement provider's orders
- Screen for substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal
symptoms
- Analyze and interpret UDS and pregnancy test results
- Advocate for consumers and participate in on-going evaluation
of consumer's progress rooted in harm reduction in clinic and
community setting
- Maintain Perform consumer records for smooth, accurate, and
safe implementation of medication orders; including ordering
prescribed medications form designated pharmacy for timely
dispensing
- Participate in the multidisciplinary treatment team meetings as
required
- Provides health education and advocacy to consumer and
consumers community supports
- Completes clinical documentation in a timely manner that is
consistent with agency standards
- Proficient in electronic health record
- Conduct assessments with consumers in the community (home, day
treatment program, etc.) to provide continuity of care in the
physical and/or psychological domain
- Provide nursing coverage for other clinic locations and
departments on a PRN basis
- Participate in ongoing internal training to increase confidence
in skillset related to emergency medicine and crisis
- Work collaboratively with community providers to complete
community referrals, prior authorizations, and necessary
documentation to safely administer medication
- Comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws,
rules, procedure, policies, standards and/or grant
- Take appropriate action to Use de-escalation techniques to
prevent or diffuse potentially disruptive situations
- Obtains releases from PCPs, specialists, other treatment
facilities, ER visits, and hospitalizations, as needed, for
Consumer care
- Complete Prior Authorizations and Attestations for treatment
medications
- Perform rescue functions during emergencies to include
administering basic emergency medical aid and evacuating people to
safe locations
- Demonstrate proficiency in labs, injections, glucometer, UDS
testing and pregnancy testing
- Remain flexible and positive to changing needs
- Follow-up with consumers regarding lab results as outlined in
company procedures
- Make customer service a priority with internal and external
customers
- Establish rapport with consumers
- Access and assist with determining the readiness of the
individual for treatment and change
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Valid Tennessee Registered Nurse license
- Phlebotomy skills and ability to give injections
- Cross-train in all areas of Medical Operations
Essential Requirements for the Position:
