Apply today for our PACU Nurse opening and continue to learn!Job Summary and QualificationsWe are a 10 -Bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care immediately postoperatively for patients that undergo general surgery, ortho-spine surgery, total joint and other orthopedic surgeries, urology procedures, vascular surgery, gynecologic surgery, podiatric surgery, endoscopy procedures, non-open-heart cardiac catheterization procedures, TEE and Cardioversion procedures, and interventional radiological procedures.You will utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.You must demonstrate age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients.Ensuring the privacy of our patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI) is core to your role.You will utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients and document all patient care.Your role demonstrates the ability to perform technical skills, follow procedures, and show critical thinking.You will provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Current BLS Upon hire
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current TN RN licensure or Current Compact State licensure
