***$3,000.00 Sign-On Bonus***Livewell Animal Urgent Care is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. We are a state-of-the art urgent care hospital located in East Nashville. As the leader of the medical team you would be required to adhere to the standards and guidelines setup by the hospital leadership team. We make it our mission to provide every patient and their owner with the best care possible and that's where you come in!If you are a passionate and caring team player, please apply today!*Licensed Veterinary Technician Role Requirements** Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.* Associate degree in Veterinary Technology*Licensed Veterinary Technician Responsibilities** Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms* Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals* Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members* Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring* Competently perform dental prophylaxis* Urgent Care or ER experience is preferred.* *Clinic Hours: Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon 12pm-10pm, Closed Tuesday & Wednesday.
