RNs must use independent and critical judgment in providing a wide variety of services within a critical care environment. The purpose of the Rapid Response Team (RRT) is to provide assessment, early intervention and stabilization for patients and to prevent clinical deterioration or arrest.What you will do in this role:
    • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
    • Provide and instruct patients and families regarding discharge instructions
    • Supports the facility's Standards of Performance and ICARE values
    • Maintains knowledge and follows all CMS and JCAHO requirements
    • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
    • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.What qualifications you will need:
      • RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
      • Bachelor's degree is preferred
      • BLS, ACLS required
      • CPI required within 6 months of hire kept current per hospital requirements
      • PALS preferred
      • Specialty certification preferred (CCRN? NIH?)
      • Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting required.TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility.
