Registered Nurse RN Cardiac Transplant Stepdown - Weekends Only - Days and Nights Available

There is a $20,000 sign on bonus for eligible new hires. Rehires who have worked for VUMC in a full-time job in the past year would not be eligible for the signing bonus. PRN rehires are eligible for the signing bonus after the 1 year waiting period
Unit Summary:

The VAD/Transplant unit is located on the 7th Floor of Vanderbilt University Hospital, also known as 7 Medical Center East. This unit is a 36-bed unit for cardiac care including ventricular assist devices (VADs), heart transplants, total artificial hearts, pre- and post-coronary artery, bypass and valve surgeries, advanced heart failure, chest pain, and heart arrhythmias. who are high acuity or high risk and have conditions that other facilities are unable to treat. We look for nurses who are equally passionate about the high-tech devices and the patient-centered care.

Our nurses are successful because they have strong assessment and communication skills, rely on each for support, and adapt easily to new challenges.

We orient new nurses to our unit by providing a seven-week unit specific orientation with dedicated preceptors.

Position Shift:

• Weekends are defined as Saturday and Sunday (days or nights). Plus a Friday or Monday for a 3-day weekend commitment (third day is pre-determined in contract and doesn't change).

    Basic Qualifications Qualifications:
    
    Associates of Nursing or Bachelor's of Nursing (BSN) required and at least 6 months of relevant experienceLicensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):
