What part would you play in this role?
As a Medical Case Specialist, you will support our Veterans Affairs Operations in Nashville, TN, by assisting veterans coordinate and schedule required medical examinations used in the evaluation process for VA disability benefits.
In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Required to make specific amount of daily outbound calls to schedule appointments for examinees, including follow-up appointments and rescheduled appointments while maintaining customer satisfaction standards.

  • Communicate directly with claimants
  • Triage daily download of referrals and ensure appropriate worksheets are assigned to corresponding conditions as identified by Veteran's Administration - - -
  • Determine appropriate examinations, tests and specialists required for each case - - -
  • Meet or exceed contract timeliness guidelines in both the scheduling and case management systems.
  • Ensure all examinees and providers receive necessary documentation - -
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

    You must have:

    • 1 year of customer service background in a fast paced environment - -
    • High School Diploma / GED Required or 2 years of relevant experience in lieu
    • 1-3 months of medical assistant background or equivalent medical terminology background
    • Strong Communication/ Customer Service Skills
    • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation

      Preferred to have:

      • Highly driven with the ability to learn quickly
      • Computer Literacy - - Working with Dual Monitors and multiple software's (Word, Outlook, Excel)
      • Proven ability to plan and organize work load
      • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced work environment
      • Good follow through skills
      • Must possess the ability and flexibility to work early morning, evening, and/or weekend shifts

        Typical Day:

        • Hours will be Mon - Fri: 8:00am - 4:30pm
