to some of the sickest of patients in the area. - -Our Patient:We
provide care for a high acuity patient population over all areas of
critical care. Aside from providing the highest level of care for
patients experiencing severe COVID-19, our biggest service lines
are cardiothoracic surgery, advanced heart failure, neurological,
and neurosurgery. With these service lines we see many patients
experiencing the following diagnoses:
- Coronary artery disease
- Acute myocardial infarction
- Heart failure
- Cardiogenic shock
- Cardiac valve disease
- Aortic aneurysm -
- Immediate Post Open heart surgery recovery
- Cardiac transplant recovery
- Acute renal failure
- Respiratory failure and ARDS
- Post cardiac arrest -
- Cerebrovascular accident (CVA/ischemic stroke)
- Hemorrhagic stroke
- SepsisAdvance therapies offered in this department include: -
- Intravascular hypothermia
- Continuous Veno-Venous Hemodialysis (CVVHD)
- Rotoprone
- Intra-aortic balloon pump
- Impella
- LVAD
- Total Artificial Heart

Will Do: Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established
policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and
communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for
well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with
members of the healthcare team.
- Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with patient,
family, and members of the healthcare team.
- Assess the physical and psychological status of patients,
provide interventions/treatments and evaluate effectiveness of care
to achieve desired patient outcomes.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and family and provides
age-specific and culturally appropriate education. All other duties
as assigned. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association
(AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board
of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license
recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date required.Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
