Job DescriptionWe Are Hiring: Title: Registered Nurse - RN Catheterization Lab City, State: Nashville, TN Location: St Thomas West Hospital Department: Cardiac Cath Labs Additional Job Details: Full Time; Weekend option Saturday and Sunday working 6:30am - 5:00pm with call requirements. The goal of this unit is to assist the Cardiologists for minimally invasive procedures to evaluate, diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions. Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary. * Prepare, implement and document plan of care. Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures. * Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures. * Perform set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures. * Contribute to Mission effectiveness by promoting the spirit embodied with the Mission Statement: * Service to the poor - Support the cause of those who lack resources for a reasonable quality of life. * Reverence - Respect and compassion for the dignity and diversity of life. * Integrity - Inspiring trust through personal leadership. * Wisdom - Integrating excellence and stewardship. * Creativity - Courageous Innovation. * Dedication - Affirming hope and joy in our ministry. * Assist with Cardiac procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist(s). Assess the physical and psychological status of patients, provide interventions/treatments and evaluate effectiveness of care to achieve desired patient outcomes. * Coordinate with supply representatives to ensure equipment and representative, are available for scheduled procedures. * Evaluate learning needs of patient and family and provide age-specific and culturally appropriate education. All other duties as assigned. What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration: * Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. * BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. * Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: * Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
