What You Will Do

As a Cardiac Catheterization Nurse at Saint Thomas, you will work in the top heart hospital in the State and top 50 in the country. This means you will have the most innovative tools and procedures to give our patients the absolute best care. This is a FUN and Collaborative team working to promote the best plan of care for each patient, making recommendations for patient interventions, and collaborating with other health care providers to deliver care and document outcomes. The goal of this unit is to assist the Cardiologists for minimally invasive procedures to evaluate, diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions. This is a very rewarding career with the opportunity to truly impact the lives of both the patient and the patient's family.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians, patients and their families, nurses, therapists, social workers and other members of the patient care team to develop a patient specific care and treatment plan.
• Cooperatively utilize varied solutions to educate and promote the health and independence of the patient
• Assess, monitor, document and report progress of patient's health and condition using required documents, reports and established timelines. What You Will Need
  Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • One or more of the following:
      • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education:
        • Diploma
