Sanitation ManagerNashville, TNSalary: 90k +10%Position
SummaryThe Sanitation Manager oversees the Plant from a sanitation
perspective. Responsible for the management of Sanitation
Personnel. Assists and develops direct reports to achieve desired
results. Direct responsibility for all department employees to
ensure proper orientation, training, development, compensation, and
working conditions are present.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAbide by
and enforce all regulations, policies, work procedures, GMP s, and
instructions.Follow all safety & SQF Food Safety rules and use all
appropriate safety equipment. Ensure that all employees within the
facility follow these rules at all times, regardless of their area
of assignment.Ensure sanitation supervisors, leads, and employees
are keeping their work areas clean and organized, and free of
potential hazards. The plant is a dynamic environment, and must be
maintained throughout the entire shift.Monitor employee behavior
and practice to maintain safe work environment.Ensure supervisors
audit KRONOS system daily to compare employee work hours to actual
punches. Employees who have not punched properly must be corrected
before leaving the plant at the end of the shift.Manage department
budget.Work with Engineering, Production, Distribution & Receiving,
and QA personnel to maintain and improve quality.Direct and
coordinate the activities of supervisors throughout their
shifts.Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet
production goals.Confer with other managers, supervisors and shift
leaders to coordinate activities within or between
departments.Oversee sanitation data such as time, work orders, and
staffing, and prepare management reports of daily sanitation
activities.Provide written reports of issues, problems and/or
observations on a daily basis.Confer with plant manager, HR
management, co-workers and/or subordinates to resolve worker
problems, complaints, or grievances.Demonstrate positive leadership
practices including setting clear goals with shift leads and
employees, providing regular feedback, and contributing to a
positive and motivational work environment.The Sanitation Manager
understands and complies with all food safety policies, procedures
and programs as stated in the Company s Food Safety Manual.In his
absence, the Plant Manager is the back-up for the Sanitation
Manager.The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive
